Our Team

Meet the Team at The Family Practice

The Family Practice is an established multidisciplinary healthcare clinic in Bristol, founded by a family of osteopaths and built on nearly two decades of clinical experience.

We provide health care for all - across age, gender and life stage. From babies and children to busy professionals, athletes, parents and older adults, our team supports people navigating pain, injury, hormonal transition, stress, rehabilitation and long-term health challenges.

While many members of our team hold advanced postgraduate training in women’s health, pregnancy and pelvic rehabilitation, we treat a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal, neurological and stress-related conditions - including spinal pain, sciatica, sports injuries, jaw dysfunction, headaches, chronic pain and movement restriction.

Alongside osteopathy, our integrated team offers psychology, hypnotherapy, nutritional therapy, acupuncture, massage and specialist pelvic health training. This allows us to care not only for symptoms, but for the wider systems - physical, emotional and environmental - that influence recovery.
We are committed to thoughtful, respectful, evidence-informed care - for everyone.

Our Team

At the heart of The Family Practice is our dedicated Reception & Admin Team - Mandy, Emma and Julia - the calm, friendly voices and faces who have supported our clinic almost since we opened in 2006.

They are an integral part of our practice community and play a vital role in ensuring that every patient experience feels smooth, welcoming and well organised from the very first point of contact.

Available Monday to Friday from 9am–5pm and Saturdays from 9am–12pm, they answer telephone and email enquiries, help you find the most appropriate practitioner, coordinate appointments and assist with practical questions.

They also manage gift vouchers and ensure that every administrative detail is handled with care, discretion and efficiency. Most importantly, they provide continuity. Many of our patients know them by name.

Their knowledge of the clinic, kindness and steady presence help create the calm, respectful environment we are known for - allowing our clinical team to focus fully on patient care.We feel incredibly fortunate to have such a loyal, experienced and thoughtful Reception & Admin Team supporting both our practitioners and our patients every day.

Vicki Hill

More info...

Vicki Hill is one of Bristol’s most experienced Women’s Health and Pelvic Health Trainers, working at The Family Practice on Gloucester Road. With over 20 years of experience, she specialises exclusively in female physiology - particularly during pregnancy, postnatal recovery, perimenopause and menopause.
Many women are told to “just do your Kegels” or to avoid impact exercise altogether when symptoms arise. Vicki offers structured, progressive rehabilitation instead - restoring strength safely and rebuilding confidence without fear.

She supports women experiencing:

• Pelvic floor weakness and urinary incontinence
• Pelvic organ prolapse
• Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
• Caesarean section recovery
• Pregnancy-related back and pelvic girdle pain
• Perimenopause and menopause-related muscle loss, joint stiffness and reduced bone density
• Return to running and return to sport

Her work focuses on pelvic floor rehabilitation and menopause strength training in Bristol, combining evidence-based resistance training with deep core retraining and osteoporosis prevention principles. Programmes are designed to rebuild strength, restore confidence and support long-term independence - not just short-term fitness goals.

Vicki also works with women undertaking medically supervised weight loss programmes, including those prescribed GLP-1 medications. Rapid weight loss can increase the risk of muscle loss and reduced bone density if strength training is not properly integrated. She focuses on preserving lean muscle mass, protecting metabolic health and supporting sustainable, functional strength throughout weight loss and beyond.
She holds advanced qualifications including Holistic Core Restore® Coach (10+ years), Hypopressives Level 3 Coach, GP Referral certification and Cancer Rehabilitation training. She works closely alongside the osteopathic and women’s health team, supporting complex pelvic pain, prolapse management and return-to-sport rehabilitation within integrated care plans.

Her philosophy is simple: exercise should feel empowering, realistic and sustainable - never intimidating.

Vicki works at The Family Practice in Bristol on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday afternoons and Fridays.
